Our Mission

2014 will  mark the 84th  annual year of the Blanco County

Fair and Rodeo.   In 1930, Mr. Albert Moursund organized a picnic on the banks of Town Creek in Johnson City.  J.W. Smith built pens and furnished the goats for the barbeque.  This  became the first Blanco County Fair and Rodeo. 

The Blanco County Fair and Rodeo would not be possible without of the support of our generous sponsors.  We are pleased to announce Tech Con Trenching and Johnson City Bank as this years title sponsor.  We appreciate each of them for their continued support of the BCFRA and the entire community.

The Blanco County Fair & Rodeo Association is a non-profit organization created in 1930 whose purpose is to promote the education of our residents, particularly our youth, preserve and celebrate our rich western heritage for both current and future generations, and our facilities for the use of youth and other related entities.
